More protection with our High Performance Clear Urethane

Epoxy floors are resilient, impact resistant, somewhat flexible and hard. They definitely supplement an efficient, durable and long lasting floor coating system by providing build thickness.  However, the best results come from an epoxy floor with a thin-film polyurethane (often referred to as a “urethane”) topcoat.

Chargar High Performance 321 Urethane is a two component polyester/aliphatic polyurethane floor sealer.  It exhibits excellent characteristics for abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, flexibility, weathering and UV stability.  Our customers have used it auto service centers, warehouses, computer rooms, laboratories, aircraft hangers, cafeterias, exterior tanks, indoor or outdoor service and chemical exposure areas.  Use as a top coat for decorative epoxy flake system.

We also offer this product in colors as opposed to clear.  High Performance 322 Colored Urethane can be found here.

A polyurethane topcoat adds chemical resistance, scratch resistance, gloss retention, yellowing resistance and easier clean-ability to an “epoxy” floor coating system.  Additionally, fine aggregate additives made from silica sand, aluminum oxide, or even spherical glass bead stirred into the urethane topcoat adds significant slip and wear-resistance while maintaining easy clean-ability.  These additives will break up the gloss which hides, or camouflages, unavoidable bits of dirt and settled airborne particles. These also hide minor imperfections in the concrete substrate, especially if a satin finish urethane is used.
