Seal a concrete water slide:
A customer called and asked us what type of product could he use to take the roughness out of a concrete water slide. Our answer was our 100% solids Epoxy Seal MV. Two applications gave him a glassy and very smooth surface. Rough areas were smoothed out as the 2 coats of 100% solids epoxy built up and allowed the owners of the slide to use it for their enjoyment. This is a great option for concrete that as taken some abuse and may have small chips or an eroded surface. Be advised that over time epoxies can yellow with exposure to the UV rays of the sun. For a smooth coating that won’t yellow use 321 Clear Urethane.
What if the concrete isn’t rough but I still want to seal it?
An excellent option for concrete slides that have just been built or are in otherwise good shape would be our 321 Clear Urethane. The added benefits of using a urethane are better abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, flexibility, weathering and UV stability. 321 Urethane is solvent based and will penetrate into the concrete increasing the bond strength and longevity of the product. UV inhibitors prevent yellowing and ensure the long lasting clarity of the urethane coating.
