Green Rod
Closed Cell Polethylene Backer Rod
Green Rod is primarily a backing for elastomeric cold applied sealants such as polyurethane, silicone, polysulfide, butyl and acrylic.
Used in this manner as a "stopper", it helps limit the space available for sealant application, making it possible to ensure a proper seal with
a calculated amount of selant.
Green Rod applications include acoustical packing, expansion wall joints, window glazing, panel walls, door perimeter joints, settling cracks, pavement and floor joints, precast panel joints, coping joints, curtain walls, drywall joints, and packing and brick control joints.
